The "11" ("eleven") in the name refers 11 so-called botanicals that give the gin its aroma: juniper, orange, rosemary, buckhorn (from Mainz), oregano (from Mainz), Riesling blossom, elder blossom (from Wiesbaden), pimpernel (from Mainz), bitter orange peel, lemon myrtle leaves and Riesling yeast brandy.
Clear white in the glass with a delicate yellow mist. Spicy alpine juniper on the nose, the scent of which is familiar from mountain hiking above the tree line, where no conifers dominate the smell. In the mouth lemon balm, cumin powder, turmeric, dry oatmeal. Candied orange peel and citrus zest further back, a sensory experience. The massive alcohol (47% ABV) is well integrated and creates the feeling of high intensity without any burns. This is a very precisely knitted schnapps that you can also sip on its own or mix it into a fine gin and tonic.
