An iconic Australian red blend combining the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness and generosity of Shiraz. Often referred to as “Baby Grange”, Bin 389 shares part of its maturation heritage with Grange and is known for its polished balance of fruit, oak and tannin. The 2017 vintage is a full, rich and beautifully composed expression of the style.
Tasting Notes
- Aroma: Blackcurrant and cassis with layers of dark cherry, blueberry, herbs, chive, thyme, aniseed and subtle spice
- Palate: Full and rich, with dark cherry, blackberry, pomegranate and cranberry complemented by liquorice, vanilla and savoury charcuterie notes. The tannins are smooth and even, with well-integrated oak
- Finish: Long and persistent, with dark fruit, liquorice, gentle spice and a refined tannic structure
