A prestigious Super Tuscan from the Solaia vineyard at Tenuta Tignanello in Chianti Classico. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese, the 2018 vintage benefited from a long, dry period through late summer and autumn, allowing the grapes to reach excellent sugar and phenolic ripeness. The wine was aged for approximately 18 months in new French oak.
Tasting Notes
- Aroma: Intense blueberry and blackcurrant, complemented by dried flowers, lavender, white pepper, mint and eucalyptus, with subtle notes of white chocolate, cotton candy and dried fruit.
- Palate: Rich, creamy and full-bodied, with soft, silky tannins and excellent balance.
- Finish: Exceptionally long and elegant, with lingering liquorice, floral and spicy notes.
