An exceptional Sonoma County Bordeaux-style blend inspired by the great wines of Pauillac. Crafted by vigneron Pierre Seillan from a mosaic of small vineyard parcels across Sonoma County, La Joie 2013 is built around Cabernet Sauvignon and combines remarkable concentration with elegance, depth and structure.
Tasting Notes
- Aroma: Rich and complex, with crème de cassis, blackcurrant, graphite, cedar, charcoal and forest-floor nuances
- Palate: Powerful and concentrated, with ripe black cherry and cassis supported by dense yet refined tannins and beautifully integrated French oak
- Finish: Long, firm and persistent, with a savoury mineral character and the Cabernet Sauvignon structure reminiscent of a fine Pauillac

A grand, age-worthy wine combining the richness of Sonoma fruit with the structure and elegance of a classic Bordeaux-inspired blend. The 2013 is composed of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, and was aged for 15 months in 100% new French oak.
